What is Rho Phi Lambda?
Rho Phi Lambda is a professional Recreation, Parks, and Leisure National Honorary Society that aspires to recognize, promote, and encourage students of high moral character and unselfish devotion to the study, research, and application of knowledge to the betterment of recreation, parks, and leisure for all people and to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to the field.
So what does that mean?
More specifically, Rho Phi Lambda is an opportunity for you, a Cal Poly RPTA student, to get involved, get noticed, and make connections!
Rho Phi Lambda's annual events include:
- A Recreation, Parks, and Tourism specific career fair
- Professional development trips to places like SeaWorld, Disney's Grand California Hotel, sports arenas and more!
- Initiation of new members
- Community service and volunteer work
